COSMOSCOW 2026

Artwin Gallery at Cosmoscow 2026 brings together four artists: Vladimir Chernyshev, Slavs and Tatars, Anton Kushaev, and Ustina Yakovleva. Their works approach matter, life, and culture from different perspectives, while collectively exploring how we form our understanding of the world.

Everything begins with the earth. In Anton Kushaev's canvases, matter exists in a state of tension: surfaces tremble, cracks remain suspended at the moment of separation, and the ground feels unstable.

Life emerges from this instability. Ustina Yakovleva creates molluscs from beads and threads, placing them at the boundary between the organic and the handmade. Beads imitate the wet sheen of living tissue, while threads become tentacles and soft bodies.

Then comes perception. Vladimir Chernyshev's graphic works capture not reality itself, but the process of making sense of it through fragments, archetypes, and layers.

Slavs and Tatars complete the trajectory with glass lamps shaped like melons, drawing on Central Asian legends of the melon as a bearer of language and knowledge. The form also refers to the Slavic root dyt' ("to blow"), transforming the fruit into a vessel for memory and cultural exchange.

Together, the four practices form a single sequence: from matter to life, from image to culture, from an unstable world to the emergence of meaning.
