COSMOSCOW 2020

11 - 13 September 2020
Overview
At Cosmoscow, Artwin Gallery presents a collaborative project by Vladimir Chernyshev and Ustina Yakovleva, both known for reinterpreting traditional artistic practices through their distinctive visual languages and personal mythologies.

The project emerges from the particular conditions of the current moment — a time in which society has been compelled to reconsider the mechanisms through which it operates, from technological systems to the value of direct, unmediated communication. For the first time in years, fundamental values, skills, and social institutions have returned to the centre of public discourse. Against this backdrop, an interest in manual, labour-intensive techniques within contemporary art — alongside a renewed engagement with personal mythology and the archaic in its broadest sense — has once again gained relevance.
