Bakhyt Bubikanova worked in various techniques — painting, collage, installation, performance, photography, and video art. She was one of the brightest figures among the representatives of the younger generation of Kazakhstani artists. After graduating from the sculpture faculty of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Zhurgenov, Bubikanova continued her studies with the late leader of the "Kyzyl Tractor" art group, Moldakul Narymbetov. In her works, the artist reflected the paradoxical elements of the everyday life of the local population. Bubikanova skillfully intertwined national and global meanings, creating an artistic slice of the reality of the Central Asian region.
