Gulnur Mukazhanova

Born in 1984 in Kazakhstan. In 2006 graduated from Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T.K. Zhurgenov. From 2009 to 2013 – a student in Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin, Germany.

'Based upon her personal biography, travelling between two cultures, Gulnur Mukazhanova defines her artistic concern by choosing her topic in a way, that allows her work to critically differentiate the individual identity and identification with an ethnographical, archaic developed culture from the actual general globalization, as well as the mutually influencing interaction between them'.
